Example 2

This example is slightly different. The bar chart has been moved on its side and more data has been added.

Remember, to tell which axis is the X axis and which is the Y axis, you have to look at the type of data on each axis.

The X axis contains DISCRETE data. This is data that is separate, e.g. months, years, products, colours, etc.

The Y axis contains CONTINUOUS data. This is data that can usually be measured, e.g. height, sales, frequency (the number of something), etc.
