The keynote speaker this year was Rob Eastaway Rob Eastaway is one of the UK’s leading popularisers of maths and author of books including the best-selling Why Do Buses Come in Threes? and How Many Socks Make a Pair?. He gives maths talks across the UK to audiences of all ages, and is regularly to be heard on BBC Radio talking about the maths of everyday life.

Liz Bailey As an independent mathematics consultant, Liz Bailey has extensive knowledge of working with a wide range of educational organisations. Liz is a local, well known education consultant who ran a super workshop which explored ways of developing greater creativity in the use and application of mathematics with an Easter theme!

Liz Meenan
Formerly an advisory teacher, and a lecturer in further education before joining Channel 4 television as an education officer, Liz now combines a part-time job as a tutor at Leeds University with freelance work as an educational consultant to schools, Local Authorities and other agencies. She delivered a very entertaining practical workshop developing the teaching of space and shape activities!

David Godfrey
Since founding Number Fun, Dave has led a growing number of Teacher Training Events in LAs around the country. These events are geared to equipping teachers to creatively use music, dance and laughter in their teaching of mathematics. Within each session Dave explores the four different types of Number Fun songs and the theory behind their use. He certainly managed to get full participation from the teachers at the conference!
