Curriculum / Subject Area: : e-safety & child protection
School Phase: PCE Console Users
Forensic software

The Local Authority has carried out a successful implementation of the software package 'Policy Central Enterprise' and it is now being used in more than 160 Northumberland schools. In the interests of online safety, the Local Authority and Safeguarding Board aim to make it a requirement that it be installed on all staff and pupil devices as part of the provision of broadband services to schools and detailed guidance on the use of the software will be published in the near future.

We plan to run sessions around the County lasting from 4.00 to 5.00 pm where we will aim to review both the implementation of the software in schools and also offer more in-depth training on PCE features e.g. the range of filtering and reporting options.

Staff attending will need to bring a laptop from their school which is capable of wirelessly accessing the internet.
