The Early Years and the ICT teams have worked together to
use NorTLE, the Northumberland learning platform to enable
settings and parents to exchange information,
electronically.
NorTLE is a password protected, internet based learning
platform initially designed to allow teachers and pupils to
access and share information about their teaching and
learning. With some small adaptations, this secure platform
can be used to provide links between the individual parents
and their setting.
The course will give
• information about and practical experience with NorTLE
• explore how to get parents involved
• discuss the type of information shared and how this will
be useful in your setting
The course uses the experiences of the settings involved in
an initial pilot.
