The British
Pathe Archive is an amazing resource, with 3,500 hours
of high-quality digitised newsreel film covering events from
the death of Victoria to the birth of Space travel. You can
access the site at home and download free low quality
preview clips and stills, but under the terms of the Schools
Licence Northumberland schools can now access the
high-resolution/small watermark versions of all the films
and stills.
The course will show participants how to access the website
and download clips, as well as providing ideas for use in a
wide range of lessons. There will also be plenty of
opportunity for you to browse this fascinating archive.
The
Audio Network website gives education users access to
the same high-quality music resource that is used by
professional film, television and media producers.
Northumberland schools are now able to access this resource
free of charge in school and download a huge range of music
for ICT and digital video projects across the curriculum.
