The aim of this course is
to provide teachers new to Northumberland with a knowledge
of the range of resources that are available in our schools.
These include resources that we have purchased on behalf of
schools and materials that have been created both by the
L.A. consultants and by teachers within the authority.
Course participants will also have
the opportunity to become familiar with all the Shoofly materials
which cover all year groups from Foundation to Yr 6. There
will be time to experiment making interactive Literacy games
with Black Cat Literacy Activity Builder. Course members will
have the opportunity to preview the exciting, extensive and
interactive Literacy resources that are on the Knowledge
Box, currently being set up in all First Middle and Special
school.
By the end of the day
the
teachers attending will leave with a bank of information, skills and resources to
use ICT
effectively to deliver the Literacy curriculum.
