Shoo Fly is an exciting resource that has been in our First and Special Schools for about a year. For the Foundation Stage there is a pack called Moon Buddies and for the older pupils Jack and the Beans Talk. Each pack consists of an animated book written as a narrative poem, with alliteration, rhyme and sound effects. In addition there is an Interactive Library of Smartboard activities, linking literacy to art, music, design technology, geography and citizenship, a Resource Bank of clipart, photographs and sound files and an excellent Handbook. More recently we have added to this with The Three Cowboy Builders and Angel Boy for pupils in Years 5 and 6. The aim of the session is to provide an introduction to this resource so that course participants can confidently use it in the classroom or with small groups.
