The Northumberland Games
Project has run for some years and has encouraged many
pupils to produce their own PC games, as well as investigate
financial modelling and design packaging for their projects.
In the past we have been able to provide some Games Industry
links to provide a real market context for the pupils
efforts - it is hoped to develop this approach further.
This course is intended
for school who have run a games project before or those who
wish to undertake a project for the first time.
The course will look at:
-
Games design and
production - Control
-
Financial modelling
- Spreadsheets
-
Packaging and
advertising - DTP
As such, the project is
an ideal ICT cross-disciplinary project, very engaging for
pupils and equally suitable for both genders and all ability
ranges. The project can also be used as a method of
providing G&T provision.
Participants will receive a CD of resources to take away
from the course.
Venue
Educational Development Centre, Hepscott Park
