As
we worked through the project we found that there were a number of issues
which we thought would need to be considered by teachers who wanted to
introduce work with digital images in their school.
We used
a variety of different cameras but the type of camera was less important
than keeping a consistent picture size of 640 x 480 pixels. We used
this size to save space.
Having
software which would catalogue images and create thumbnail versions
of each image was also found to be essential to help pupils sort through
their images.
We also
found that working with Photoshop soon filled pupil's work areas on
the network.
There were
also basic ICT skills which we thought pupils would ned before starting
this work.
