It's that time of year again!

This year's ICT conference is an exciting combination of seminars and National keynote speakers. Once again we have tried hard to provide a range of seminars related to using ICT in the classroom and are particularly pleased to have so many Northumberland teachers running sessions.

The conference is aimed at Primary and Secondary phases with information and activities for Headteachers, Senior Managers and Class teachers on the theme of ‘Harnessing Technology’. In providing such a large bank of seminars we have endeavoured to ensure that each session has activities dedicated to Primary, Secondary or all phases. The all phases sessions tend to be on more generic issues such as SEN and ICT or the virtual teaching and learning environment.

There are lots of exciting sessions to look forward to including Astley High demonstrating their Podcasting work, Cramlington High looking at using Video, Andy Johnson's session on using Interactive Whiteboards in the Primary Curriculum. Whatever your interest or ICT needs there should be something during the day to whet your appetite and provide you with ideas for back in school.

One session I'm particularly looking forward to is Anne Curtis, the author of the wonderful Shoo Fly materials, taking us through the 'Jack and the Beans Talk' and 'Moon Buddies' packs.

I hope that you or someone from your school will be able to attend this year's conference, where yet again we will be distributing resources developed by the County ICT curriculum support team.
