The following
pages were produced as part of a Year 6 project by Sandra
McGonigle, Design Technology Co-ordinator at Berwick Middle School and
Pat Moat, Advisory Teacher for ICT. The focus of the project was to use
computer aided design and manufacture to produce a drawstring bag decorated
with a print which reflected the intended use of the bag.
Pupils were in groups of 20 and had access to
Canon Powershot digital cameras and ZoomBrowser software, Dazzle Plus
graphics software, colour printer, iron-on transfer paper, 4 PCs and
electric sewing machines. The
photographs and designs that the pupils produced can be accessed by
