Using Dazzle Plus (Word 1.12MB) Cutting out with Image Composer (Word 944KB)
For this project, the pupils used Dazzle Plus rather than the standard Dazzle program.  It's possible to achieve almost the same effect using Revelation Natural Art from Logotron. There's also another new version of Dazzle which we haven't tried yet!
The table below sets out some of the advantages and disadvantages of each program.

Allows you to import a folder containing a number of stamps.

Each stamp has to be loaded  individually.

You can save your own stamps as a category in the collection and can easily access the contents of a whole folder.

Allows you to set a page to A5 size easily - useful when printing designs on expensive iron - on transfer paper.

You can change the page size, but you'll need to work out the width and height in pixels.

You can easily select a range of page sizes, including A5.

Stamps can be resized very easily.

You can resize stamps, but it's more than the click of a button!

Can only save as a bitmap.

Can save in jpeg format.

If stamps are imported as bitmaps, the white area around them is transparent. This allows you to overlap stamps easily and effectively.
