An excellent site with interactive resources for students and teachers. For example, the electronics designer allows simple circuit development using a systems approach or the food section has data under different headings such as snacks, sugar, vegetables, fruit etc. Try the packaging section which also has a cd-rom version of the packaging designer for use on PC's without Internet access.

Manufacturing by Design
National project providing free copies of Design view software to schools. The National Manufacturing Council aim to support the use of CAD in Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4 and to promote electronic communication between schools/companies using the Internet.

Cabaret Mechanical Theatre Education
Good site with a variety of educational resources available. Many schools will be familiar with the shop in Covent Garden and the work of the CMT designers from D&T televison programmes. Resources are available to buy ranging from videos and books to actual mechanical models.
