How we made our tapestry :
All year 7 pupils took part in the project. It took seven 50 minute sessions and some homework time. We have included as many techniques as possible in the tapestry :
Background: dyeing, sewing , plexifoil Broken Hearts: embroidery, beading and plexifoil
Giants Causeway: patchwork Angel of the North: leatherwork
Edinburgh Castle: weaving and knitting Dragon: Appliqué
Millennium Dome : Quilting Friendship bracelet:: plaiting
White cliffs of Dover: proggy matting Hadrian's Wall: weaving
Lighthouse: ICT embellished Egg and Bacon : sewing and textures
Big Ben: 3D feltwork, fabric painting, fabric pens and threads
