What our tapestry is about :
'Communication' and 'Families' were our focus of the design brief.  Showing various aspects of Amble e.g. the lighthouse on Coquet Island and the fun fair park and caravan site relate well to the communication section of the brief.  The market stall and harbour scene depicts aspects of work for the local people and their families.  Also, the school as a whole is another family and the centre square shows the children gathered together around their own school.

How we made our Tapestry:
Several children, on a variety of occasions were involved in the production of the tapestry ranging from Reception , Year 1 up to Year 4.  Two members of staff assisted the children along with three or four parent helpers.  The tapestry took about 3 months to compete.
