The talking interactive
storybook follows the story "Kneejerk Meets the Aliens" in
Module 1 of the ALS resources. The book is divided into two sections:

| The Talking Storybook section
contains text and graphics taken directly from the ALS Module 1 book. The
book contains simple animations and speech to allow the child to read the
book, see the characters move and hear the story. In this way the child
has the opportunity to experience alternative ways of enjoying the story
and clarifying word sounds.

| The interactive sentence
construction section of the book follows the storybook section. This
section contains the same animation and speech options as the talking book
pages, but also includes a selection of interactive buttons. The
interactive buttons
will speak as the cursor is moved over them; they can also be placed
anywhere on screen by clicking, and holding, the right mouse button.
To help the children a yellow box has been placed on the screen enabling
the children to position the words on a line so that the sentence can be
heard by moving the cursor across the words.
