The
Priory School held a 'Wallace and Gromit Wrong Trouser Day.' They raised money
for St Oswald's Hospice. Photographs were taken of the event and afterwards
the pupils used the Inclusive Writer programme to fit captions to the images.

Row First School held a Roald Dahl week. His texts were used in Literacy Hours
and there were drama activities , quizzes and crosswords and a fancy dress competition.
All the pupils wrote and cooked some revolting recipes.
Lynemouth
First School
Year
4 pupils at Lynemouth First School linked their work on the Ancient Greeks
with their Literacy Hours. They watched a video on the legacy of the Greeks
and the labours of Hercules. They created their own versions of the stories
and produced illustrated books of their work.

Paul's RC First School Cramlington
Year
4 pupils were reading The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. For their
Literacy activities they looked at the 'Blurb' for various editions of the book
and then planned and wrote their own.
