Welcome to Nodis 2012, the Northumberland Digital Awards! This year we want to promote the use of NorTLE in our Nodis competition. We want the entries to be created using some of the brilliant tools in NorTLE that can be found under the Create tab. The tools we would encourage the children to use are JIT (Infant Toolkit), J2e (DTP) and Spotlight. Many schools have already experimented with these tools through various NorTLE training sessions either around county or through school based INSET. Now is your chance to use them in earnest.

The theme this year is Winter and ideas that have already come into our heads include;
Winter poems
Winter stories
Animations
Winter images/picture created and or manipulated
News Reports
Weather Reports
Geography - Winter around the world
Extreme Weather
Winter warmer recipe cookbook
Comics
Sequencing activities

Nodis is open to all First, Primary, Middle and Special Schools.

All the entries have to be made by the children using their NorTLE user names and passwords. Teachers may make compilation entries but need to reference the individual pieces of work.

We will be hosting a session at Hepscott on Tuesday 17th January at 1.15 pm to explain more about taking part, ideas, demos of the tools to be used and submitting entries.

For those teachers unable to attend we will do a video conferencing session the following day at 4.00 which can be viewed either at school or at home. Which ever session you aim to attend please apply by emailing Sue Wild by Friday 13th January, stating which session you are attending either directly or remotely! This allows us to either arrange tea, coffee and biscuits or to create username and password for the video conferencing session which needs to be set up and emailed to you before Wednesday 18th January
