Felix & Charlie

Felix and Charlie is a large scale educational resource currently under development by the e-learning team.  Assisted by artist Sheila Cartwright, the resource will feature a multimedia extravaganza of useful educational themes all based round an ancient Egyptian mystery.

Pupils will need to help our two heroes, Felix and Charlie as they struggle to unravel ancient mysteries and investigate strange goings on. All of the material is directly related to the Literacy requirement at Key Stage 2, and elements of Geography, History and citizenship are covered also.

Pupil learning is guided and recorded in the Journal, an innovative workbook resource that accompanies the journey through ancient Egypt.

The story is presented as a linear narrative in a Herge style comic which can be read on screen or via a whiteboard. Children can then investigate the story material, undertaking writing and investigation task, web quests and related classroom activities, whilst being supported in their learning by a host of engaging supporting content.

Children are supported by a host of features that will help them to investigate the mystery and drive their curiosity. Some of the features include 3 D exploration elements and even first person style exploration elements- all related to the core story.
